The House of St. George, patron saint of the city of Ioannina is at the western exit of the town, near Lake Pamvotis. Its architecture follows the typical characteristics of the folk Balkan homes. Since 1933 the premises belonged to the cathedral. Nowadays, the house serves as a church and chapel of the cathedral of St. Athanasios.
